Kaitlyn Dilemmo, 32, was arrested early on Friday, Aug. 11, said the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Dilemmo, of Doylestown, was headed east on Cheltenham Avenue on June 6 last year when she crossed over a concrete median into the westbound lane, according to police investigators.

She hit 77-year-old Jacqueline Kovach head-on and was thrown from her Toyota RAV4, authorities said. Kovach, of Philadelphia, was trapped in her Subaru Outback.

Both were rushed to area hospitals, where police say Dilemmo tested positive for fentanyl. Nurses also allegedly found baggies of the drug stamped "Fly High" in her belongings, according to authorities.

Kovach later died from her injuries on Aug. 18, 2022.

"The crash investigation determined that the cause of the crash was directly related to the combination of Dilemmo’s level of impairment, as well as the speed and the reckless and careless manner in which she operated her vehicle," said DA Kevin Steele's Office.

At her arraignment early Friday, Aug. 11, bail was set at $100,000.
